The Migration Youth and Children Platform (MYCP) is seeking passionate, motivated individuals to join our Business Development Team. Who We Are

MYCP is the platform by and for young people to impact the highest levels of international migration policymaking. Part of the Major Group for Children and Youth (MGCY) at the UN, we represent youth-led organizations and young people from over 90 countries. Our mission is to make sure young migrants are not just participants in migration policy – they are leaders shaping the decisions that impact their lives.

About the Business Development Team

As part of the MYCP Coordination Team, the Business Development Team focuses on:

  • Developing and managing partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Creating strategies to ensure sustainable funding and institutional support for MYCP.
  • Supporting the coordination of MYCP activities and projects.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the impact of partnerships.

This is a remote, voluntary, and unremunerated position, ideal for those seeking meaningful experience in business development within a dynamic, youth-led global platform.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for individuals who have:

  • A background in fundraising, grant management, or partnership development.
  • A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for building new skills.
  • Held positions of leadership and are able to work as part of a team
  • Able to collaborate effectively in a diverse, global, and remote team environment.
  • Capable of managing tasks independently and meeting deadlines.
  • Flexibility in working hours and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of the Business Development Team, you will:

  1. Build relationships with current and potential institutional partners, focusing on fundraising and partnerships. 
  2. Contribute to creating a clear and effective framework for collaboration with stakeholders as part of MYCP’s Partnerships Strategy.
  3. Support initiatives aimed at sustaining youth involvement beyond MYCP’s programs.
  4. Create impact assessments, maintain logs, and ensure the monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of collaborations.

Key Deliverables

  • Create a comprehensive Partnerships Strategy Document to act as guidelines outlining MYCP’s approach to building and maintaining partnerships.
  • Development Monitoring and Evaluation documents which include tools such as impact assessments and activity logs to track the success of our initiatives.
  • Represent MYCP as relevant events as appropriate.
  • Participate in key meetings with potential partners and clients, presenting MYCPs work and answering questions relevant to our activities.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be under the age of 30.
  • Open to individuals from all countries, with no nationality or visa requirements
  • Prior experience in business development is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is also an advantage but not mandatory.

  • Interviews: 13th January – 17th January 2025
  • Onboarding: 20th January Notified, and request onboarding until end of Month.
